ThinVNC Access Point allows remote access to every PC Desktop in a LAN/ WAN.
ThinVNC Access Point enables secure HTML5 Remote Desktop Access to any PC on a local area network through a single public IP address. It is both a HTML5-to-RDP gateway and a ThinVNC bridge. It can enable remote access to any PC with a RDP server configured or a ThinVNC installed. No other software is required except the client should run a HTML5 compliant browser and remote desktop server or a terminal server enabled on the PC. The accesses are secure, as they use HTTPS and SSL-WebSockets through native firewall-friendly protocols and ports. Administrators are able to assign remote PCs to users through the tool easily. Users do see a list of PCs they can access through the tool.
The tool does not require that the remote PC must be on to be able to access them; the PCs can be switched on through wake on LAN (WOL) capability. The user has to just click on the WOL link to get the other PC started. ThinVNC Access Point also has a remote installation feature that makes it possible to get it installed when needed and then start accessing a specific remote node. The interface presented is very simple. The newest recruit into the It department should be able to set it up. Any user should be able to get productive right away whenever he/she needs to setup access to a remote PC.
